father sun
sunlight
awakened my weary heart
daybreak
made the night the depart
mornings
promised of a hopeful day
sunrays
dried my tears away
summer
brought laughters to me
springtime
thawed the frozen free
noontime
waited as i slowly grew
daytime
stayed to see me through
but sunset took
the light of day
slowly stealing
the sun away
i can’t deny, i can’t pretend
daylight
finally came to end.
